Lunch Time Hobby

12in x 32in wood canvas installation constructed using multiple canvas, a vintage Walt Disney brand lunchbox and a vintage Bell & Howell projector model 253 AX. All these items were aesthetically refurbished then later textured with a white chalk paint and a clear matte chalk finish.

Inspiration:

Inspired by Walt Disney, his journey and his legacy. Disney, a school dropout had a gifted imagination and was a visionary of his time. His work has transcended cultures and generations for almost 100 years. He was a pioneer of cartoon films and co-founded one the best-known motion picture production companies in the world. Disney had a passion for the art form at a very young age and as a child he drew, painted and sold pictures to neighbors and family friends. Can you imagine a world without Mickey?!
