In a culturally stigmatized society where academic enrollment holds an indispensable value, it is important to remind our youth that with dedication and hard work all dreams are possible.

Across the globe, visionaries, leaders, artists and entrepreneurs with some, little or no education have impacted our world in ways they only imagined possible. It is our responsibility to harvest these talents within the system and provide all children with the necessary tools to create the life of their dreams.

A+ is a South Florida mixed media artivist originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Inspired by academics and self-reliance, moved by the stigma behind the educational system and those who parted ways to pursue a dream, but most importantly, driven by the responsibility we have with our youth and future generations to come.

The Dropout Series, A+’s latest body of work utilizes vintage school memorabilia and various print styles to embody the importance of children’s academic upbringing. The work depicts the success behind the school dropout stigma, the hustle minded and the relentless.
