I’m a Gamer , So What

24in x 18in wood canvas art installation constructed using an authentic ATARI Flashback 4, an ATARI joystick, a 1980’s english dictionary and a traditional school lead pencil. All these items were aesthetically refurbished then later textured with a white chalk paint and a clear matte chalk finish.

Inspiration: 

Inspired by the arcade culture and the impact it has had throughout generations. The Atari home console revolutionized the industry and give birth to a whole new era. Kids shining outdoor activity for the thrill of a previously unseen digital world worried parents as they couldn’t foresee how these same kids would later be part of a billion dollar industry coding the new generation of games.
