Late Night Sessions

24in x 48in wood canvas art installation constructed using a vintage SEARS compact stereo AM-FM radio phonograph, vinyl records, a vintage headphone set and an original JanSport backpack. All these items were aesthetically refurbished then later textured with a white chalk paint and a clear matte chalk finish.

Inspiration:

Inspired by DJ artists worldwide. The vinyl record players ignited its own art form, influenced pop culture and birthed devotees in every continent. It’s retro appeal has aided its popularity in recent years and despite the technological advances, it continues to be a preferred medium for many. Many young adults spent weekends cramming for test day, others preferred jamming to some good tunes and creating music. Which one were you?
